Spiritual, Creative, Transformative Life Coaching

Though I’ve been reading tarot cards for 25 years, I fell into coaching somewhat accidentally, and have been actively coaching clients (without cards!) since 2020. A lot of what makes a good tarot reader also makes an excellent coach, and I bring my decades of intuitive experience and spiritual skills into my coaching with clients, as well as much of what I’ve learned about trauma, family systems, and healthy relating from my PhD in Science and Technology Studies (to be defended in 2026), where my dissertation is on spirituality and trauma healing.

People seek me specifically out as a coach because I am direct, no nonsense, no bullshit, I live what I teach, and help others do the same. My most closely held values are integrity, authenticity, and rigour. I love helping people claim their magic and transform their lives as they connect with their authentic selves.

You may be wondering what the difference between coaching, spiritual consulting, and tarot readings are – and when you should contact me for which one. I’ll get into that below; many folks who work with me have hired me for multiple services.

My Life Coaching Methodology

My coaching methods are very mixed, and my approach is emergent and dynamic.

I blend spiritual expertise in energy work,  tarot, mediumship, and magic, with insights and noticings from my extensive PhD research (in Science and Technology Studies) on trauma, dysfunctional interpersonal dynamics (family, romantic relationships, groups; including abuse psychology), and the role of spirituality in trauma healing.

I excel at noticing and analyzing what my clients’ patterns are – energetic patterns, behaviours, thoughts, and feelings – and love to help my clients find ways of moving, thinking, and acting that are healthful, growthful, and in alignment with integrity.

Some clients prefer and are served best by a very spiritually heavy approach, merging tarot readings, magic instruction, and an analysis of life, behaviour, and thought patterns. We’ll pull tarot cards for different happenings in your life, interpret them, and come up with rituals and witchy practices that connect you to yourself and where you want to go.

Other clients are not interested in tarot and magic at all, and prefer to focus on how energetic polarities of masculine and feminine energy manifest in their life and can be adjusted. If this is you, we’ll talk about what these energies are, how polarity works, and how to move easefully through these energies in different areas of life.

I’ve been an advocate, cheerleader, and mirror; I’ve given permission and been the wind in peoples’ sails that has given them the strength and confidence to make enormous, seismic changes in their lives – from switching careers, to moving across the country, to getting divorced. If you’re familiar with the tarot, my coaching is for people ready for a ‘The Tower’ experience of enormous change, leading into ‘The Star’ – self-actualization, authenticity, and inner peace.

I always honour the sovereignty of those I work with – your life is your own, after all, as it should be! As such, I don’t tell anyone what to do or how to live. Your values and how you want to live your life can be very different from how I live my own life – in fact, that’s totally normal and great!

What I do is point out patterns, ask questions, and inspire confidence and hope – and, often, I teach people how to better hear their own inner voice and trust themselves, their bodies, and their intuition. You can trust me to guide you – and part of my job is to also teach you how to better trust yourself, rather than push who you are, what you feel, and what you want under the rug.

My aim is to help you trust your own inner voice about what you want and what you don’t want in your life; what feels good and what doesn’t, and what is growth oriented and what stifles your growth.

While I am happy to hear about my clients’ pasts and do find it can absolutely be relevant, my work tends to be present and future focused.

I am more interested in what you believe now, why you believe it, and why/how your past behaviours, actions, thoughts, and beliefs have gotten you to where you are now: a life where something is slightly or very off, or simply does not work and needs a dramatic and drastic shift.

Many people come to me seeking to live a life that is more authentic than the one they currently live – a life of integrity and truth, rather than a life of fear, hiding, and playing small.

The life that you want IS possible – let me help you get there.

What I Help With: Common Coaching Areas

Authenticity

Do you want to be fearless about owning and expressing who you are? Are there parts of yourself that you are shy about, hide from others, push under the rug, or downplay, even to yourself? If you want to feel more connected to your audacious and authentic self (and even discovering what that is, if you have blockages around it), I’d love to help!

One of my absolute joys in life is helping people become and feel more authentic to who they really are - so the choices they make in the external world are more aligned with who they are internally. This can be anything from gender expression, to job switcheroos, to creative practice, to learning to express boundaries, and everything in between. Live life as the person you know you are, without fear.

Boundaries

Is it difficult for you to say no to people, even when you really want to and saying yes goes against your self-interest, and can even harm you? I can teach you to stop people-pleasing, to increase your self-love and self-worth, and to set boundaries with the people in your life – kindly, lovingly, and firmly.

Breaking Patterns

Caught in the same loops of bullshit? Feeling kinda shitty about it? Not sure how to break free? This is my specialty, and one of my favourite things to help people work through. I’ll help you see how you got here (and why), what you’re doing wrong, and lay out pathways for what you can do instead.

Confidence and Self-Love

Do you struggle with low self-esteem and a lack of confidence in yourself? I would love to help you go from insecure to confident. When we are confident in ourselves and have an accurate assessment of our genuine abilities, value, and strengths, we open the door to a more joyful life full of better connections and opportunities. True self-love is absolutely possible! Let me help you get there.

Creativity

I’ve been a lifelong artist and writer, am an award-winning illustrator, and was an illustration professor for five years – with five books and four journals out! One of my books was nominated for the Doug Wright Awards (the best graphic novels and comics in Canada), and I have been a juror for the Ontario Arts Council. Whether you’re suffering from creative blocks, imposter syndrome, or would like some external feedback on your creative process or halfway-finished artistic output (whether written or visual), I would love to hear from you!

Feminine and Masculine Energy

I’m not talkin’ toxicity or tradwives – I’m talking healthy, deeply embodied, authentic expressions of masculine and feminine energy in a way that is authentic and unique to you. No matter our sex/gender, we each have both masculine and feminine energies within us – and often lead more successful, happy lives when these energies are balanced within ourselves, as well as in our relationships with others.

Love and Romantic Relationships

Whether you’re single and dating or in a long term relationship that feels a bit off, I would love to help you find the love you deserve! Whether you need help sorting out good matches from bad ones, learning more effective and loving communication with your partner, help deciding whether the relationship you’re in is right for you, sorting out your relationship to sex and kink, or something else entirely, I’d be happy to help.

I have experience working with people who are straight, bisexual, queer, monogamous, single and dating, polyamorous, married, divorcing, divorced, kinky, and also folks who are in the sex industries.

Healthy Sexuality and Sensual Embodiment

Do you struggle with sexuality and embodiment? Whether that is sexual shame or embarrassment about your body and what you are into sexually, or challenges communicating with your partner about your desires, I am happy to help you move towards a physical intimate life that feels empowering and good for you. Polyamoury, sex work, and kink friendly - and also friendly to those who are against all of those things for themselves, too!

Magic and Witchcraft

Interested in magic and witchcraft that is intuitive, mediumistic, and deeply rooted in who you are, what you believe, and where you want to go? I teach witchcraft that is based in traditional British folk magic, influenced by contemporary Neopaganism and some Wicca (impossible to avoid!) – and am happy to help you build your magical practice in a way that honours your cosmology and background.

For me, magic and energy work is non-denominational and the mechanics of how magic and energy work can be applicable and taught no matter what you do (or do not) believe. No matter your spiritual background or religious upbringing, I’m happy to teach you how to incorporate magic into your life in a way that feels supportive to you.

Spiritual Worldview

Not sure what you believe or why? Trying to come to terms with the religion(s) you were born/raised in, and how it fits in with your present-day mystical interests, whether they be astrology, tarot, or even magic? Not sure if you believe in spirits, God, or whether you’re monothestic or polytheistic? How does animism fit into all of it for you? I love helping people wade through the weeds and the specifics of what they believe, why they believe it, and what that means for their own unique spiritual practice.

Tarot

As a tarot reader with 25 years of experience, I’d love to help you level up your tarot skills – whether your goal is to read tarot professionally or simply to give excellent readings to yourself and your friends, I’ve got your back.

I teach in such a way where you’ll never need another tarot book again, your intuition will be deeply developed, and you’ll be able to learn from and read the card that’s in front of you – not something random you memorized from the internet somewhere. If you like, we can incorporate tarot learning into helping you understand where your life is going, and where it can go next.

What I Do Not Do

Despite my extensive education and experience, I am not an accredited physician, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, or medical/healthcare/trauma professional.

As such, I cannot give you medical advice.

I cannot and do not diagnose or treat.

I do not work with many modalities therapists may use, such as CBT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, etc.

I do not exist within typical frameworks; my methods are my own and come from my multidisciplinary experiences as a professor, academic, and spiritual teacher with decades of experience.

Though my PhD extensively focused on trauma, how it works, and how to heal from it, I am not a licensed physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, or trauma professional, and I encourage all my clients to develop an ecosystem of care that includes both myself (if it’s a good fit!), and any other differently trained and qualified practitioners who will be able to better help you with other aspects of your journey.

Other professionals that you may wish to consider adding to your support team can include but are not limited to: psychiatrists, psychologists, psychotherapists, sex therapists, marriage/couples therapists, counsellors, naturopaths, dieticians, nutritionists, family medicine physicians, personal trainers, etc.

When you agree to enter into a coaching relationship with me, it is expected that you have read this page and understand what my credentials are and are not.

Who Gets Best Results

You’re intentional.

My clients who get the best results have been very intentional in choosing to work with me specifically! If you’re looking for the unique blend of 25+ years of in-depth spiritual experience and advanced academic lens (nearly done my PhD in spirituality and trauma) that is meee, then you’re in the right place. You know you want to work with someone who has an immense depth of knowledge, who will lovingly challenge you, and push you to be your best and most authentic self.

You’re generally mentally well.

As I outline below, I can’t help anyone who is in an active mental health crisis, living on the street, or any other extreme circumstances.

The people I love helping – and who tend to get the best results – more or less have their lives together-ish. You’re employed, even if you don’t love your job.

You may be in a meh-relationship or marriage you’re unsure about. But something feels wrong, something feels off; there are feelings of frustration, underwhelm, and the inner feeling that there MUST be more to life! That’s where I come in. I love helping people untangle exactly where that ‘meh’ feeling comes from, and what we can do differently.

You have a spark within you that you want to cultivate, encourage, and grow into a blazing flame of authenticity.

As we age, it’s easy to get swept up in obligations – whether it’s to family or societal expectations, or even the dreams and visions of our past self, who may no longer be here. It’s easy to lose ourselves in who we think other people want us to be, and sometimes it’s hard to be – out loud, in public – the person we know ourselves to be.

You know Rome wasn’t built in a day.

You see the value of working together for an extended period (over the course of 5 sessions, minimum) and know that it takes time to get to the bottom of things. Shifting our beliefs, mindset, and habits can take time, and you’re in it for the long haul and ready to do the inner work on yourself, and put what you’ve learned into practice. You know all your problems won’t be solved in one coaching session.

Who I Can’t Help

If you’re in an active mental health crisis.

If this is the case for you, and you’re actively thinking of harming yourself or others, a spiritual life coach is not what you need right now – please, focus on getting better and find support from certified mental health professionals, such as an accredited psychiatrist and/or psychotherapist. This work is for people who are already generally pretty stable, and may be working with a therapist, and who are not in any danger to themselves or others.

If you are in an active domestic violence situation.

I do my best to help people with their mindset, make better choices, and get into healthy relationships (and out of bad ones) – however, active domestic violence requires more expertise and active, in-person intervention than I can deliver in the context of a coaching container.

If this is your circumstance, please contact shelters for domestic violence victims and ‘battered women’ (it’s an ugly phrase, but searching this may help you find the help you need).

While I have some awareness of abuse and trauma psychology and what keeps people stuck (and what frees them) due to my PhD, ultimately your priorities should be getting yourself safe and out of that situation. Your limited mental energy wouldn’t be best spent on coaching – it will best be spent in therapy, with supports for those experiencing domestic violence. Please, seek those supports – they want to and can help you. Please seek professional involvement – police, the law, mental health professionals, friends and family, etc.

I would be so happy to help you rebuild your life once your situation has stabilized!

If you are in active addiction where that addiction is your main problem.

I am not an addictions counsellor or therapist. It would be best for you to seek out someone with professional expertise in these areas, such as a therapist who specializes in addictions, and potentially in-house treatment facilities, and/or twelve-step programs.

If your compulsive behaviours (ie, shopping when stressed, avoiding the gym) are more mindset issues rather than anything clinical, I can help with that, but if your addiction to either process or substance is more profound (and indeed actually an addiction rather than just a bad habit), I think you would find more effective and specialized support elsewhere until those issues have been satisfactorily resolved. I do not work with people in active drug addiction.

If you are defensive, combative, or unable to receive constructive feedback.

My goal in my work is to help people. Sometimes, this means I give curious, constructive feedback. It can be difficult and challenging to self-reflect and self-assess, and it can be painful to examine our faults and missteps. I always give feedback with grace and compassion (and with the awareness that what I share is an interpretation), and this kind of assessment work is often necessary to choose different behaviours and to grow into a different kind of life. If you cannot receive any feedback at all and have resistance to self-reflection, it’s likely you’d be best served by working with someone else.

If you’re an unreliable narrator of your own life.

If you are lying to me about the specifics of your situation, and paint yourself in an idealized light while demonizing everyone else, it’s unlikely I’ll be able to help you. I can read between the lines, yes – but ultimately, I can only go off of what you tell me, and I need to trust that you are coming to me as an honest and reliable narrator of your own life.

If you tell me your partner does all of these horrible things, and it turns out you were either lying or left out everything bad you also have done, the chances I will be able to help you are slim; if you’re incapable of accurately describing your behaviour and that of others, you’d be better suited working with a psychotherapist or some other accredited, certified mental health professional who knows best how to deal with someone in your situation.

Coaching is not work where I do divination to sort out whether you are lying to me: I trust and expect that you are telling the truth and coming to me in good faith. I cannot help people who lie, omit information, are dishonest, etc.

Ethics

Your sessions with me are strictly confidential; I will not share your details or your business with anyone.

I will never push one solution on you. I will never act as though I know more about your situation than you do. I will not act as though your future is set in stone. I will not act like your life or choices need to look like mine - they don’t!

Instead, I will work with you to notice the energies (both flowing and blocked) in your life, and work with you to make a plan to face it all head-on and with renewed sense of self-knowledge, self-affirmation, self-love, and confidence. My practice is focused on noticing the magic within mundane life and sharing that magic with you.

If you are in a sensitive situation, welcome to the club! I have literally heard it all, and I will never, ever judge you or your situation. I will always listen with an open mind, open ears, open heart, and open spirit, to get you from where you are to where you’d like to be.

Coaching is time based.

Instead of arranging my prices based on the session, I arrange my pricing based on how much time we spend together.

This leaves space for the coaching experience to really open up and meet your needs – which may change, as our session moves along!

What starts off as a quick hour long coaching session can evolve into a two and a half hour deep dive (if we both have the time in our schedule). Some sessions, you may wish to have a shorter and targeted 30 minute check in, and at other times you may wish for a longer coaching experience depending on what you’re going through and what support you require.

Most coaching sessions can be booked using the buttons below.

Once you pay, please message me to book directly at ceo@sabrinamscott.com. We’ll schedule your reading online on Zoom, or in person in Toronto. Please note, if you wish for an in-person session in Toronto, extra space rental fees may apply.

Many Booking Options For Your Convenience

I am happy to offer multiple packages and booking options to suit your needs and schedule. Sessions are held over Zoom, and are strictly confidential. Happy to book outside of typical office (9-5) hours, and I do take bookings on weekends. Depending on your schedule, most weeks I should be able to fit you in with one week’s notice.

Book 5 HOURS OF COACHING

Book a 5 hour package if you are ready to go! While some clients like to keep it to an hour per session, in my experience a 5 hour package usually lasts about 3-5 sessions, depending on you and how quickly you’d like to move. Most clients who select this block will see me every two weeks for longer sessions.

BOOK 12 HOURS OF COACHING

Book this block if you are ready to see me weekly for 12 weeks (3 months). Let’s get down to business and completely shift your life! For people who are truly committed to making time for growth, healing, and moving through their challenges with gusto and intention.

Book 1 hour of coaching

If you only have the time or budget to see me once a month or on an as needed basis, this is the right choice for you. If you’d like to try out one session before deciding whether you’d like to commit to longer work together, this is also a good choice.

Book a 15 Minute consultation

NEW! Now offering 15 minute consultations. These are paid, and it is a pretty low stakes way to sort out if we are a good fit. Get comfortable with me and let me know you need help with. Feel free to vet me and ask me whatever questions you like, and share whatever you feel called to about your own circumstances.

How to Prepare

Let me help you make the most out of our time together!

Before our session, do your best to calm your mind and body, and commit to moving forward with an open mind and heart. Try not to block off any avenues for action and growth without fully exploring it and giving it a chance. Try to make a short-list of priority topics. We can work together on any area of life, including employment, life purpose, love and relationships, friendships, family, boundaries, creativity, and more.

If you’re not sure how to formulate what you’d like to talk about and what kind of help you need, it’s okay! I can help you during our session.

Please take the coaching process seriously! It can be fun, uplifting, and inspiring; and I’ve also had sessions where my coachees came to tough realizations that were sad or challenging. Please be prepared to be present. I’d prefer for you to reschedule our session together, than to force yourself to show up on a day where you feel like shit and know you won’t be mentally or physically all there.

Coaching works best over time.

If all you can afford is a one-off session, I’m still happy to work with you on an as needed basis! However, results will be best when you can commit to a longer term coaching relationship with me.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does coaching diagnose or cure?

No! If you’re seeking some sort of medical diagnosis, I’d recommend you chat with an accredited psychologist or psychiatrist. I also make no claims to cure anyone of anything, though if you do the work and commit to the process, the likelihood that your life will improve is quite good. :)

How long does the coaching process take? When can I be done?

The process takes as long as it takes! I’ve had some folks work with me on an ongoing basis for years, even after they’ve achieved the results they envisioned when they started working together. Often, when people see what’s possible, they want to continue on an ongoing basis!

However, if you’re someone who wants to get in, attack your problem, and get out - I support you in that, and we can work with that in mind. However, if this is your mindset, please do be prepared to show up, commit to the process, work hard, and challenge yourself!

What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?

Therapy is conducted by mental health professionals, including psychotherapists and psychologists (though exact credentials and qualifying processes may be different depending on where you live). It is often focused on understanding past traumas, and doing childhood deep dives with the purpose of self-understanding, getting things out of your system, and more.

Therapy is often recommended for people who struggle with clinical depression and anxiety, and for people who are going through crisis and severe mental health struggles. In my own experience as a therapy client, I find psychotherapy to be much more past-oriented and backward looking than coaching. In therapy, my therapist was less interested in telling me what to to do next and how to do it, and instead, helped me understand my childhood and why I had certain triggers. Therapists are specialized (as a mental health service), and as such do not tend to be as multimodal and holistic in their approach as what I offer, and will not incorporate spiritual practices such as tarot and seasonal cycles into the work they do with you. Their scope of practice does not include this.

Coaching is a little different. While you absolutely can tell me everything you’d like to tell me about your childhood - I’m happy to listen - I don’t need to know everything about your youth in order to help you. Coaching is often more focused on the here and now: what’s happening in your life in the present moment, what you can do about it, and how you can more forward to improve your circumstances. The way I coach can also be emotionally and spiritually inflected depending on your needs, and can include work on creativity, sexuality, mindset, energy work, tarot, etc - whatever that is within my areas of expertise and scope of practice that is supportive to you. I am also very direct, and will call my clients out when necessary for their growth. Therapists generally do not do this.

Coaches are not well suited to work with people in crisis or active addiction. Coaching works best when coachees are mentally stable and motivated to take action and shift their lives to be more aligned, even if they’re not sure how to do it yet or what needs to change!

Can we do a mix of tarot and coaching?

Yes, absolutely - I’ve done this quite a few times before and it was a blast. However, do note that my tarot rate is different from my coaching rate, so the rate for these sessions are unique and do require a personal conversation so I can create a bespoke lil package just for you and what ratio of coaching and tarot you prefer.

Can we meet in person, or is this all on Zoom?

At this juncture, all of my coaching clients are on Zoom. That being said, if you are located in Toronto and would like to meet in person, that can absolutely be arranged for an extra fee. Please fill out the form below if that’s something you’d like to do.

Do you work with men?

Yes! At this point, men are 90% of my coaching clientele.
